It's a great restaurant/bar atmosphere with a fun and friendly staff. For the non-STL natives, I'd say think of a mix between Cheers and your favorites local restaurant. Its a fun, chill vibe on TOP of the incredible BBQ!

I went with a Pick 3, choosing Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Smoked Wings for my meats. For my side Fixins I had the fries and BBQ beans.

My Son, Riker, got a pulled pork plate with applesauce and fries. The boy loves him some pulled pork!

This time I had a couple friend with me. One had rib tips (don't have the pic for that one!) and the other had a nacho plate. The table shared an order of fried pickles as well. So we got a great sampling from the Hendricks menu!

Normal range for St. Louis BBQ, very reasonable.

Sauces?

House Sauce - A tasty, slightly spicy flavor (slightly spicy by my standards, I like a lot of heat)
STL - Tangy, peppery blend
Sweet Sauce - Semi Sweet, peppery, tangy flavor
Mustard Sauce - A unique mustard BBQ flavor

I really enjoyed this savory sauce lineup! I enjoy just about every type of BBQ sauce you can conjure up, but what really stands out to me are the flavors I haven't tasted much before, if ever at all. Credit where it's due, the Hendricks sauce line is NOT the normal run-of-the-mill mix of "ketchup, sugar, liquid smoke."

I enjoyed ALL of these flavors, nothing boring or bland in this mix. I want to draw attention to the mustard sauce. I'm normally not big on mustard sauces, but I LOVED this flavor. It's a true mustard bbq sauce, not the gross mustard/vinegar mix your buddy touts as his "secret sauce." It's a flavorful mustard-based sauce that I wholeheartedly enjoyed!

The perfect blend of tasty, tender, smokey meats, delicious sides, and unique and tasty sauces! You CANNOT go wrong here!

I could eat Hendricks BBQ anytime. My Brisket and pork were PERFECTLY tender, seasoned just right, and had some of the best smoke flavor you could ask for. The smoked rings really hit the spot for me as well. Awesome job all around!

Friend 1 agreed completely about his order. Loved the flavor of his brisket and rip tips, he would absolutely recommend both!

Friend 2 absolutely loved her nachos. She's a big mustard sauce fan, so the mustard bbq beans on her nachos absolutely made her meal!

We ALL loved the fried pickles too. These are not your mama's fried pickles. They are thick battered, almost like you'd get from fried fish, but it's sooooo good! I couldn't stop munching on them!

Special mention here - Our server, Kim, did a wonderful job too! She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel important. Everything you want from a restaurant's staff! Thank you, KIM!!!

Riker's take:

I asked how he liked his pork and he was speechless. That NEVER happens, he loved it so much!

On a scale of 1 to McDonald's (look, he's 11, McDonald's fries are his jam, we're working on it...) he said his fries were a solid 8. High praise from the little man!!

Bottom line - If you love great barbecue and an atmosphere that feels everyone is glad you came, head on over to Hendricks BBQ!
